It's not a cliche, it's not! For me, it's a statement that couldn't have more resonance. I grew up in a little fishing village on the northwest coast of Ireland in a community comprising 800 people. It was a Gaeltacht (Irish-speaking area) and was battered by the Atlantic coast for most of the year. It was 'black dark' in the winter but illuminating in the summer. Fast-forward to 2015 and JS now JSB is off to Phoenix, Arizona to address Chiefs of Police on how they should be using social media to aid their work. The flames I've been battering over the years will be the blog posts that make up the heart of this blog.
